Buttons is built on the upscale comfort cuisine of Executive Chef Keith Hicks, and although we also feature old school live music and a vibrant atmosphere, Buttons is first and foremost a restaurant. Chef Hicks is about bringing people together over the table… food is his way of sharing love, of sharing community, of sharing a vision. The journey began is his grandmothers’ kitchens, when he was given the name “Buttons” as a young boy. The joys of the family kitchen and the family table are part of the foundation of Buttons’ cuisine. Chef Hicks has earned many accolades and honors for his upscale southern cuisine. The search for the absolutely best ingredients, highly trained kitchen staff who share his passion, and of course our proprietary seasonings is a never ending process.

Buttons’ appetizer menus features a number of signature award-winning items that reflect our approach. We have reinvented that southern classic Fried Green Tomatoes and the response from our guests and the critics is Wow. Hand cut slices of fresh green tomatoes, battered in Buttons seasoned cornflower, are fried and covered by grilled sliced ham and an over easy egg with our Red Eye gravy and béarnaise served over a spring mix tossed with our jalapeño ranch dressing. All of our appetizers are richly flavored with our own rubs, our own sauces, and our own imagination. There are no shortcuts to great flavor.

On the lighter side, we feature signature salads and other more healthy items as well. Healthy can still be boldly flavored like our Shrimp & Spinach Salad. We make everything from scratch with our own flavorful twist.

Buttons’ Old School entrees are the core of what we are about and we serve a Buttons take on prime steaks, great seafood, and of course comfort classics like Old School Pot Roast and Shrimp Fish and Gritz. Our signature dish is Buttons Famous Chicken and Waffles which has received a number of recognitions and awards. Chef’s special hand battered fried chicken & homemade Belgium waffles. Served with blueberry infused butter, fresh berry compote, sweet potato pomme frites and collard greens. We strive to make a Buttons meal an experience for the senses and we take that mission very seriously.

Lunch at Buttons is very popular with a unique collection of sandwiches and salads as well as our signature entrees. Our dishes and our salads are made to order and have bold flavors to make it a lunch worth remembering!
